Photography is about connections. It's the way you feel when your newborn snuggles against your chest. Or your child smiles at you. It's about the giggles still ringing in your ears. And about love. These are the connections that sustain us, that tug at our heart strings. And Bellepoq Photography is here to capture them all...

Love finds a way. It really does. You come home to it, you see it in the embrace of siblings or in your child's eyes. You see the connections and the memories. Whether you take the road less traveled or the busy, popular highway. At the end of it all what you find is love.

Family. It's the greatest treasure. It's never-ending love. It's a forever preserved in the present moment. At the end of a long day, not only are they the light at the end of the tunnel, they are the giggles, the joy and the warmth that make it all worth while.

60 years. 60 years of joy. Of laughter. 60 years of love.
Oh, not all has been perfect but it is what has made her who she is. For in her we find comfort and friendship. We find home away from home. We find arms that are always ready to embrace. If you tell her you want to dance, she will lead you to the dance floor. If you tell her a joke, she laughs with her soul. She is beautiful. She is life. And that is perfect.
This is a celebration 60 years in the making. A moment cherished by all who were there. And a wish for another 60 years beside her.
Happy Birthday!

We ran, threw rocks in the lake, acted like clowns, visited an old school house (from the 1800's), colored and generally just had a great afternoon. Thank you so much for the fun and laughter. This was definitely a special day...

And now that the summer craziness is over I am back trying to update my blog. The house has been so quiet I can actually hear the crickets chirping here. I am not quite sure I will be able to get any kind of work done now that I don't have my kids constantly singing mom-mom-mom-mom. So since I am sitting here missing them like crazy, I figured I would go ahead and post some of the sessions that took place over the summer. I will try to keep adding some more pictures throughout the week.
I had such a wonderful time with both these featured families. There was so much laughter. It is just one of the many things I love about photography: getting to know people. It is amazing to see someone a little hesitant about the big black box you are holding in your hand suddenly open up and start warming up to the experience. The end result is not only fun but it yields some pretty incredible images. So without further ado, here are some pictures...
I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family at the end of the year. I had a lot of fun talking to them while clicking away. The results are energetic and full of fun. Check out a sample of our time together...
